sophia williams is a cinematographer with a passion
for telling stories of the underrepresented and 
overlooked individual.she is dedicated to creating 
slice-of-life films that highlight the authentic 
everyday American experience through an empathetic lens
She studied filmmaking at North Carolina School
of the Arts with a concentration in cinematography 
and visual effects.  in 2023, she was selected as 
one of four cinematographers in Issa Rae’s 
ColorCreative FindYourPeople cohort.
